Youth Programs

  • Youth Chorus

    w/ Ashly Akins and Nick Parker

    A fun beginner music class for kids age 8+ to get to sing in a lively group setting.

    Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30pm (Parlor)

    NB&GC kids can catch a ride over to NCMC from the club!

  • Rock Band After School

    w/ Floyd Kellogg, Nigel Goss and Mark Carapezza

    A cool after school class for young musicians to jam out in a rock band setting.

    Thursdays 5-7pm (Recording Studio) Winter Session: 2/8-4/4

  • MUSIC & MOVEMENT / MÚSICA Y MOVIMIENTO

    w/ Ashly Akins & Sassy Nash

    A beginner music class including songs, rhymes and stories in English and Spanish for kids ages infant through 5 years and their caretakers.

    Fridays 10-11am (Parlor) *check calendar for dates*

  • SINGALONG SERIES

    w/ Libby Veilleaux

    A drop-off singalong movie night for kids 5+. Pizza included, costumes encouraged.

  • Community Jazz Band

    w/ Nigel Goss

    Jam out with Nantucket’s beloved local jazz ensemble!

    Mondays 7-8pm, Winter Session: 2/12-5/19

    Rehearsals will be in the NHS Band Room February-May and then will resume in the NCMC Haddon Hall in September.

  • Celtic Slow Sessions

    w/ Graeme Durovich

    Drop in and enjoy playing classic Celtic tunes in a group setting.

    Wednesdays 6-8pm, NCMC Parlor

    Celtic Flow Open Sessions 2nd Wednesdays @ Kitty Murtaugh’s

  • Community Chorus

    w/ Dr. Eddie Wilkin

    Come sing your heart out with one of Nantucket’s longest-running community choirs.

    Wednesdays 7-9pm, St. Paul’s, Winter Session: 2/7-5/19

  • Beginner Ukulele

    w/ Mark Carapezza & Libby Veilleaux

    A group ukulele drop-in class for individuals, families, friends and all in between.

    Sundays 5:30-6:15pm, NCMC Parlor
